What to Avoid in Your Resume: Irrelevant Personal Information: Avoid including details like age, gender, religion, or marital status. Excessive Length: Keep your resume concise, ideally one page for early-career professionals and
no more than two pages for others. Unprofessional Email Addresses: Use a professional email address, ideally your name or a variation thereof. Overused Buzzwords: Avoid buzzwords like “hardworking,” “go-getter,” or “team player” without examples to back them up. Graphics or Fancy Fonts: Stick to a clean, professional layout with easy-to-read fonts. Salary Information: Do not include current or expected salary figures.
