When it comes to length, less is more and relevancy matters. If you have extensive experience your resume may be two pages, otherwise keep the length to one page. Prioritize quality over quantity by tailoring your resume to highlight skills and accomplishments that are most relevant for the position you’re applying for. Finally, don’t underestimate the power of white space. A cluttered resume can overwhelm the reader, making it harder to find important details. By spacing out sections and keeping margins balanced, you improve readability and ensure your resume looks polished and professional. What to Include in Your Resume: Contact Information: Full name Phone number Professional email address LinkedIn profile (optional) Address (optional, city and state are often sufficient) Professional Summary or Objective: A brief statement that highlights your career goals and what you can offer to the employer. Tailor it to the job you’re applying for. Work Experience: List experience in reverse chronological order (most recent first). Include job title, company name, location, and employment dates. Briefly describe your responsibilities and achievements, using action verbs and quantifying accomplishments where possible. Education: List your degrees, schools attended, and graduation dates. Include any relevant coursework, honors, or extracurricular activities if you’re a recent graduate. Skills:
