Carry a few essentials, such as an easy to hold portfolio, small bag, or satchel.
Watch your host for cues. 05 Silverware: Work from the outside in. Bread & Bever age: Bread is to the left, while beverage is to the right.
Approach alcohol with caution.

If your host offers you a glass of wine and you are comfortable, accept. Never feel pressured.
Accept hospitality at a minimum . Avoid making heavy demands on support staff.

Follow up promptly. 10 Send a thank you email or a handwritten thank you note to your host within 24 hours of the event. 08 Pick familiar foods and refrain from overly pricey items. Ask your host if they have recommendations. Select something that will allow you to be attentive to your host and additional guests without excess mess. Choose your meal wisely.
Always be prepared to pay your way 09 If the host pays, be gracious in offering your thanks.
