Michael Ammons, Ed. D

Mike Ammons is a higher education administrator, training manager, and non-profit leader with 15+ years of experience serving in various leadership roles for liberal arts colleges, government agencies, and the North Carolina Community College System, advocating for academic programs and support services for first-generation students, adult learners, and veterans. He has taught numerous undergraduate and graduate courses in management, leadership, ethics, career development, communication, human resources, and business. He has earned an MBA in Business Administration, Ed.S. in Educational Leadership, and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Liberty University.

Elvis Santos Career Services Counselor, Berkeley College

Elvis Santos is a passionate and driven Higher Education Professional with his expertise centered around career counseling, student support, business development, recruiting and job placement. Currently, he holds a position as a Career Services Counselor at Berkeley College. His responsibilities consist of identifying career and internship opportunities, conducting professional development workshops, and developing career plans for lifelong success. Over the past three years, he’s had the privilege to mentor, assist, and empower students’ lives with skills to become exceptional and successful students. Prior to Berkeley College, Elvis was a Recruiting Coordinator for an executive search firm sourcing top talent within Fortune 50 organizations in c-suite executive level positions. In 2017, he was ranked in the top 25% of LinkedIn Recruiters for sourcing, connecting, and identifying top talent. Furthering his personal development, he is currently at Walden University pursuing a master’s degree in Higher Education with a focus in Leadership for Student Success where he plans on using best practices for student engagement in his current role and future leadership positions. He is also a member of La Unidad Latina, Lambda Upsilon Lambda Fraternity, Incorporated, with its core mission of meeting the needs of the Latino community through academic achievement, cultural awareness, & promotion of the Latino culture.
